Danger Baby!

March 29, 2011

For those of us who were tremendously excited about U2’s reunion with producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois on No Line on the Horizon, and then terrifically bored with their output, there is hope. The team that brought us Achtung Baby was unable to recreate the industrial-Euro-trash that we’ve all come to know and love, but maybe there’s someone who can. Fresh from his outing with Shins front man James Mercer and the Broken Bells, Brian Burton a.k.a Danger Mouse has been working with the lads from Dublin on their new record. If Danger Mouse’s past production work with The Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley, Beck and The Black Keys is any indicator, this could be a return to form for Bono and the boys. U2 is currently on its 360 Tour. Tickets for U2 are on sale now.

“Spiderman” in Peril

March 29, 2011

The U2-scored musical Spiderman: Turn off the Dark is offline for a few weeks while producers figure out what to do with the struggling behemoth. Following injuries on the set, Julie Taymor’s release and reviews panning the show, Bono has taken matters personally into his own hands, meeting with the cast and crew, planning a series of high-profile interviews and writing new material for the production. U2 tickets for their 360 Tour are available now for all North American dates.

And if the daylight feels like it’s a long way off
And if your glass heart should crack
And for a second you turn back
Oh no, be strong

The album also features hits by Beyonce, Rhianna, Lady GaGa, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen and The Black Eyed Peas. U2 is currently on their 360 Tour . U2 tickets are on sale now.

U2 played the first show of the South American leg of its 360 Tour in Chile last week. This is the first time the band has played in South America in five years, and they showed their gratitude to the fans, some of whom have waited years for U2 tickets, with one of their epic 2½ hours sets.
